Rockies and High Plains Vector-borne Diseases Center
The Rockies and high plains are home to a high proportion of the national vector-borne disease burden in the United States, due in part to local ecology and the prevalence of capable vector species. The Rockies and High Plains Vector-Borne Diseases training and evaluation center (RaHP VEC) has assembled a diverse group of researchers, public health professionals, and vector control specialists to understand and address the vector control challenges in this region, in order to serve the public by reducing their exposure to vector-borne diseases.
